Insert Ribbon Inserting an Item in an Appointment

The Insert ribbon allows you to attach items such as research papers, reports, or group project item, pictures, audio files, and many other items. You might be sending an Appointment invitation to a group, and want them to look at a specific document, before the appointed meeting. Do the following activity to attach and item to an Appointment. When you are finished move to the link at the bottom of this page titled "BACK" to go back to the "Outlook Lessons" web page.

1. Open Outlook.

2. Press Control 2 to move to the Outlook Calendar.

3. Press Control n to create a new appointment.

4. Type and Tab your way through the Appointment edit and combo boxes. Do not save.

5. Hit the Alt key one time.

6. Right arrow to the "Insert" tab of the ribbon.

7. Down arrow one time and you will hear "Attach File."

8. Hit the Enter key one time and an "Insert File" dialogue box will come up.

9. Shift Tab to the "Tree View."

10. Down or up arrow to the drive you want.

11. Right arrow on the drive to make sure the folders are open.

12. Down arrow to the folder you want.

13. Hit the Enter key one time.

14. Tab over to the "List View."

15. Down arrow to the file you want.

16. Hit the Enter key one time and the item will be placed in the text area of your Appointment.

17. Press Alt s to save and send the Appointment.
